Bringing People Together

The Monarch Room LLC is a luxury event business created to bring visions to life while providing a professional experience. We pride ourselves on being creative problem solvers and value our savvy potential to push boundaries for the experiences guests can have at our events. We love bringing the community together and having safe fun. We believe events are more than just food and drinks. We know if events are done right they will create lasting memories that friends and families can cherish forever.

The Monarch is formed by two ambitious business women Alyse Holt-Briggs and Dana Session. Both graduates of Michigan State University who have prior experience facilitating corporate events and hosting grand celebrations which allowed the opportunity to study the theatrics of ways in which they can make the events industry vibrant and diverse for the Metro Detroit Area.

Alyse is an outgoing young woman who enjoys event planning and event decor. All throughout her college years she was lucky enough to be in situations that allowed her to plan and decorate events for her university, her sorority Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and for her friends on multiple different occasions. Alyse’s degree in women and gender studies allows her to be profoundly organized, a critical thinker and very accommodating. Alyse loves meeting and creating relationships with a plethora of individuals which gives her the ability to further her reach and learn new things regarding the events industry.

Dana is the former president of the same chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, this professional experience allowed her the opportunity to learn the importance of multitasking while facilitating all the different components that intel a comprehensive event. She also has 6 years of experience as an event coordinator and marketing assistant  at Urban Beat event center, a premiere event space in old town Lansing that is known for presenting the annual Lansing Jazz festival. Facilitating live events helped Dana to thrive in fast paced environments and establish the best ways to accommodate guests at interactive events. This insight also was used as an event coordinator for Michigan State Athletics. Through this position Dana coordinated events for University Donors in the Breslin Center and Spartan Stadium. These events helped to display progress in projects that were in development and also create an enjoyable game time atmosphere.Dana’s extensive background in event marketing and hospitality will help The Monarch to achieve a five star experience for any event no matter how small or large.
